Welcome to my first official blog!  Yes, I know, it's another DIY blog.  Like we don't already have enough?  I'm sure we do, however I noticed one very important detail:  Most bloggers only write about what the supposed outcome of the product is.  They hardly ever try it out themselves!  That's just no fun.  

This blog is going to be all about finding alternatives to store-bought products.  From cleaners to conditioners, I'm going to be making- and using -everything that I write about.  And of course there's no point in trying so many different products if you're planning to ignore the ones that don't work.  How would that be helpful to anyone if I don't tell you which ones to ignore?
